I’m David Brumley, the founder of D.L. Brumley & Co., providing elevated, guided photography for people and brands across North Carolina. My approach is intentionally high-touch: I help you plan the details, guide you through the session with clear direction, and deliver polished edits that feel timeless and true to you. Whether you’re celebrating a personal milestone or building a stronger visual presence for your business, my goal is simple—create refined imagery that feels effortless in the moment and powerful long after.

MY STORY

I’ve been professionally photographing since 2020. After graduating from the University of Mount Olive with a B.S. in Business Administration (Marketing), I used the skills I gained in the classroom to build my own creative businesses. In 2023, I founded Surf & Tide Marketing LLC, offering high-quality marketing support for small businesses, and later launched Surf & Tide Photography to provide elevated photography for both marketing clients and individuals.

My experience also includes working within one of North Carolina’s largest healthcare systems, where I supported a wide range of high-standard creative needs—professional photography (including newborns, surgical operations, and employee recognition), graphic design, and social media management. That blend of creative direction and marketing strategy is what I bring to every session today: an experience that feels easy, intentional, and refined—paired with imagery that serves both personal milestones and professional goals.

Today, I’m in nursing school working toward my RN—an experience that’s deepened my attention to detail, calm leadership, and care for people. While healthcare is a calling I’m actively pursuing, photography and marketing remain a core part of who I am. D.L.
